Plan
to attend the 2005 CWA Katahdin Show and Sale to be held November
24th, 25th and 26th in Regina,
Saskatchewan. This
year’s show promises to be a great one with some excellent
quality Katahdin breeding stock. The judge will be Javier Lara, DVM of Queretaro, Mexico.
Dr. Lara has judged all Hair Sheep Breeds as well as
Suffolks, Hamps, Dorsets and Rambouillet. He was trained in Iowa and Texas by the United States Sheep
Seedstock Alliance and is a trainer for Mexican Sheep Judges.
He is currently the Secretary for the Mexican Sheep
Producers Association and the President for the World Sheep and
Wool Congress 2007. In
addition to all this Dr. Lara is also a teacher for Sheep Science
at Monterrey Tech.
The
SKSA feels that this is an excellent advertising tool in which
producers can show what they have for breeding stock while gaining
international exposure for the Katahdin breed.
Not only do you have the opportunity to show off your
sheep, but there is once again some excellent
prize money up for grabs.
So plan to bring out your Katahdin Sheep and make this
years show one of the best in years!!!
